About me

Why are you writing this guide? What do you hope will be the result of writing and sharing it?

Where did you come from, where did you grow up?

Ex: Greek dad, Dutch mom. They met in Holland at the beach. I hail from Rotterdam: one of the most diverse cities you’ll ever visit and it’s a blend of where old meets new.

What are your hobbies, your favourites, and your hidden talents?

Ex: Me and my son love building Gundam robots and looking at our next Lego set. I thoroughly enjoy scouting my next Japanese denim jeans, discussing the next stock I would buy and trying out new Dim Sum restaurants.

Any fun facts about you? Share some of your favourite books, quotes, or emojis that resonate with you.

Ex: You can find me either enjoying a Thaiboxing class, reading something from Ray Dalio or looking for new vintage denim finds. Taipei is on my list of going to next but Japan is where I would love to take my son to. Experiencing new cuisines are some of my favorite ways to immerse myself in my own city and in others.

💬 Communication

How do you like to stay in sync with your reports or colleagues? What preferences do you have for one-on-one meetings? Would you prefer people to contact you via email, chat, or in-person? What’s your availability outside of working hours? What’s your communication style like? How have other people described it? What have you gotten feedback about in the past? How should others interpret what you do or say? Are there any aspects of communication that you are working on?

Please don’t hold back any feedback: Direct, candid feedback, ideally in the moment or after you have seen something you did not appreciate. Even better if you provided a suggestion on how I could improve.

Act like an owner: Do your job. Don’t try to put your monkeys on my shoulder. If you need support or want your ideas challenged, I am always there to help.
